A Second Home

I transferred to Mount Union because I wanted a sense of family and being genuinely cared for as a student. Faculty, staff, and students at Mount Union make me feel at home! Mount feels like a second home because you see the same people on campus all the time and everyone is always friendly, asking about your day and how you are doing. Mount Union was one of my initial top school picks as a senior. I ultimately picked a different university and found my way back to Mount during my sophomore year.

Experiential Learning

The opportunities that I have been offered at Mount Union have solidified and enhanced my interest and love for my concentrations. Through the internship I held at Alliance Middle School, I was able to meet many students and create relationships with staff that can be helpful to me in my future endeavors. I have also helped with a few camps and social groups through the Spectrum Education Center that were so fun and gave me the chance to have fun and build friendships with adolescents on the autism spectrum.

Impactful Faculty

When I began my journey at Mount Union, my transfer advisor, Marci Muckleroy, was my go-to, my second mom, and holy grail! From helping me create my first course schedule and making it through math classes to pep talks on a bad day, she always makes me feel so welcomed and loved in a new place. Marci has impacted me positively in so many ways. She taught me to ask for help no matter what and to advocate for myself as a student and throughout life. I am so grateful for her, these skills, and all of my intelligent and supportive professors at Mount.
